Wind vane switch, mechanical with paddle
Application
The SL is a wind vane switch for flow monitoring of gaseous media in air ducts, in supply or exhaust air units of fans or electric heating coils (also for polluted, oily air) or as a flow monitor.

| Function: | Contacts 1 and 2 (red-white) open in case of flow drop to the set value. Contacts 1 and 4 (red-blue) close simultaneously and can be used as a signal contact. The unit is set at the factory to the minimum deactivation value, this can be increased by turning the range screw clockwise. |
| Installation: | Vertical installation in a horizontal air duct. Calming distance at least 5 times the pipe diameter up- and downstream from the vane. For air velocities > 5 m/s, the vane must be cut in the marked places. This increases the minimum deactivation value to approx. 2.5 m/s and the minimum activation value to approx. 4 m/s. |
